Patatrac! per Bitdefender, gli utenti di sistemi operativi Windows XP, Windows Vista e Windows 7 a 64 BIT si sono visti con il sistema bloccato. L’ultimo update di Bitdefender aveva un firma errata e riconosceva l’intero OS a 64 BIT come un Virus.

Brutto colpo per Bitdefender, famoso antivirus la cui firma errata ha reso le macchine degli utenti con sistema operativo Windows XP, Windows Vista e Windows 7 a 64 BIT inutilizzabili. Il fattaccio risale a Sabato quando sono iniziati ad apparire con frequenza costante nei forum di Bitdefender messaggi di utenti che chiedevano spiegazioni di ciò che fosse successo.

La compagnia Bitdefender ha già reso noto l’accaduto dicendo che è a conoscenza del problema e, causa un update errato, è possibile che Bitdefender riconosca diversi sistemi operativi Windows ma anche gli stessi files di Bitdefender come infetti con il trojan Trojan.FakeAlert.5. Il messaggio è arrivato dopo il posting di diversi utenti sui forum di Bitdefender, tantissimi non erano in grado di far ripartire il proprio PC a 64 BIT.

Ecco qualche messaggio apparso sui forum di Bitdefender. La situazione sembra essere ancor oggi confusa per non dire problematica poichè sono molti gli utenti a dire che la PATCH fornita da Bitdefender per rimediare al “fattaccio” non funziona.

** Bit defender will not update, it just sits at the update screen doing nothing  and I am on administrator, and have even right clicked and “Run as administrator”. I have re-downloaded the patch and tried it again. The customer support through e-mail obviously never read my ticket and sent me to the completely wrong links, told me to do what I had already said I did in my original ticket, sent me to a dead page and now hasn’t answered back in over 8 hours.

** Hey, you know i BACKUP my files, but what about the HOURS I SPENT TRYING TO GET MY COMPUTER TO BOOT UP? Now I’m still having problems! The patch wont run and I’m getting bdutils.dll errors when i try to open BD. Seriously, terrible. Give me my weekend back. ######, it’s 2am and I’m still not back up 100%, because of an anti-virus software?!?

Riportiamo quanto detto e fornito da BitDefender sul proprio sito, d’essere a conoscenza del falso positivo sui sistemi Windows a 64 BIT ma anche che è possibile risolvere il problema, accedendo ai relativi articoli della Knowledge Base  ( vedi:  Windows XP 64 Bit – Windows Vista 64 BIT – Windows 7 64 Bit) ma il problema sembra essere ancor oggi irrisolto..
