Microsoft e Eolas hanno terminato in Agosto una disputa basata sul metodo che utilizza Internet Explorer per gestire i vari applet o controlli ActiveX. L’accordo tra le due società consiste in un pagamento sulla cui somma non è ancora trapelata alcuna informazione, tale accordo consente a Microsoft anche l’eliminazione del fastidioso messaggio “fa Clic per attivare”.
Microsoft ha reso disponibile per il download il componente “Internet Explorer Automatic Component Activation Preview” (Attivazione Componente Automatico Internet Explorer) per IE6 ,IE7 supportando i sistemi operativi Windows XP, Windows Vista e Windows Server 2003. Il componente è opzionale (ma è fortemente consigliato per eliminare il fastidioso messaggio) e sarà incluso all’interno di Windows Vista Service Pack 1 e Windows XP Service Pack 3.
