Siete in cerca di un nuovo image editor per Windows ? Girovagando nei vari forum avrete sentito parlar bene di The GIMP, il noto image editor di Linux che è disponibile anche per Windows. The GIMP non è l’unico tool di image editing per Windows, esiste anche Paint.net. Paint.Net  è open source ma non si tratta del solito prodotto “casalingo”, è un prodotto altamente professionale, capace di fornire supporto ai files PSD (formattazioni base, non pensate ai miracoli, ad un replacement per Adobe Photoshop) ma anche in gradoi d’applicare diversi effetti alle foto, inclusa la solita rimozione degli occhi rossi.

Paint.Net supporta Windows XP, Windows Vista e Windows 7, il sito offre diversi tutorials, plugins per estendere le funzionalità del sofytware ma anche una grande community, in grado di rispondere velocemente ai nostri dubbi. La prima versione di Paint.Net era sviluppato da un ragazzo che si era appena laureato al college ma in seguito, grazie all’aiuto e sostegno di Microsoft (Paint.Net include porzioni di codice MS n.d.r.) ed altri utenti, il software si è evoluto, divenendo uno standard per chi vuole un prodotto interessante  con meno funzionalità dei soliti Adobe® Photoshop®, Corel® Paint Shop Pro®

  • The font manager for the Text Tool has been completely rewritten, resulting in increased performance and better reliability. On Windows 7, the quality of text is much better as a result of using DirectWrite (this also works on Windows Vista if you have installed DirectX 11).
  • The built-in updater now has the ability to download updates in the background, and will wait until you exit Paint.NET to install them. In previous versions, the download happened in the foreground, and you had to wait for the entire process to complete before you could use Paint.NET again..
  • Now includes a Russian translation.
