Microsoft ha rilasciato un upgrade per gli utenti di Office Mobile in modo tale da poter lavorare con i documenti creati con Office 2007. Microsoft has released an upgrade for users of Office Mobile so that they can work with documents created with Office 2007.
Questo upgrade risolve un problema che ostacolava gli utenti di Windows Mobile 6.0, le cui periferiche (Pocket PC, gli Smartphone ed i Portable Media Center) sono state introdotte quest’anno nel mercato, dal leggere i documenti creati con Office 2007 (è stato rilasciato in Gennaio). L’upgrade consente inoltre agli utilizzatori di telefoni cellulari d’andare a consultare qualsiasi documento redatto con Word e Excel (lettura-modifica) e visualizzare i slideshow creati con Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (formato Open XML). Questo aggiornamento è stato scoperto casualmente da un blogger di Microsoft verso la fine di settembre e aveva postato anche i links per il download. Microsoft intervenne immediatamente dichiarando che la release non era ancora pronta e si trattava di uno sbaglio, affermava inoltre che entro un paio di settimane l’avrebbe reso nuovamente disponibile per il download.
