Microsoft ha annunciato quest’oggi la proposta d’acquisto di Yahoo! Inc per un valore di 44.6 miliardi di dollari. La proposta di Microsoft consente agli azionisti Yahoo! di ricevere i soldi delle loro azioni , un’ulteriore proposta è quella di ricevere metà contante e metà titoli della Microsoft.

La prima dichiarazione è quella di Steve Ballmer

“We have great respect for Yahoo!, and together we can offer an increasingly exciting set of solutions for consumers, publishers and advertisers while becoming better positioned to compete in the online services market,” “We believe our combination will deliver superior value to our respective shareholders and better choice and innovation to our customers and industry partners.”

Microsoft si appresta a diventare dopo l’acquisizione di Yahoo! una delle più grandi Corporation e non ci sono dubbi che Google abbia da temere più da questa fusione che da un eventuale Wikia Search che è ancora allo stato embrionale ….
